Update from the Structural Empowerment Team

From the Structural Empowerment Team:

• Remember if you do not have a “practice council” (some structure for staff to have a say in clinical decisions), you need to start this by June 1^st. Please let our team know if you need any assistance in meeting this goal.

• RN Certification – organizational we set a goal to increase the number of RNs certified by 10%. However, we would like all units to establish their own unit specific goal. On 7E, we do not have any certified RNs so our goal is to increase by 20% over the next 2 years. Lisa Langdale is continuing to work with AHEC to get more review courses locally.

• For current Certified RNs, we will be distributing the laminated cards that will go behind badges and fall below for viewing. This will come in a bundle to managers / directors for distribution. This will be an ongoing practice as well.
